backbends reimagined: a workshop for every body with guest teacher angela patriarca

Saturday, September 13 | 2:00–4:00pm | Early Bird: $40 | After September 6th: $48

Limited to 20 students.

Reimagine your relationship with backbends in this two-hour workshop designed for every body. Whether you’ve felt intimidated, struggled with technique, or want to deepen your practice, you’ll learn a systematic approach that makes backbends accessible and empowering. We’ll break down the essentials—energizing the pelvis, opening the shoulders, and creating intelligent spinal extension—while exploring how energy flows through your spine. Rather than forcing shapes, you’ll discover how to work with your unique structure to counteract daily compression and restore posture. Leave with the tools to make any backbend feel safe, achievable, and revitalizing.

Angela Patriarca’s path began as a professional modern dancer and evolved through the study of qi gong, tai chi, Classical Chinese Medicine, and yoga. She has opened multiple studios along the East Coast and, for the past decade, has directed the Bheemashakti Yoga School. Angela’s teaching blends movement traditions and ancient wisdom, offering students safe, systematic practices that foster balance, strength, and healing.
